Azure SQL Server Database Backup

Written August 2020. Microsoft changes these admin screens often, so the screenshots below may not match what you see today. The sequence of steps is usually still correct — if something looks wrong, tell us and we'll update it.

1-      Login in portal.azure.com.

2-      Select your SQL instance.

3-      Click on Manage Backup.

4-      Click on configure policies.

5-      Select the Database of which you want to modify the backup retention policy.

6-      Click on Configure retention.

7-      Configure policy as required by your organization.
