How to troubleshoot when RDP is NOT Working

The following will be the troubleshooting steps

  • Ask the credentials of the user who is not able to RDP
  • Go to the RDweb page of the domain and try RDP from there.
  • Try doing RDP to the Terminal Server using the credentials
  • Check the user, if the account is not disabled and do reset the password.

  • Check that the user is in domain, and the domain users are allowed to RDP to Terminal Server.

  • If nothing works, the profile must have been corrupt.
